I was about to say people who work curses, but I realized that didn't really help. People who use magic, I guess.

I'm a warden here, yes. And at home I'm a police constable.

Because you're a cop? That means you're the type of person who likes to keep other people down.

I like to think I, and other police officers, are the sorts of people who like to help others.

Cops only help people with money and connections.

The force was corrupt, as you say. But they were all sacked in 1859. Things are quite different now in 1898.
