Well, the Canadian government. As I am from Canada.

Mostly. Although Toronto in particular is a Protestant city.

What do you do, anyway? Apart from wearing dresses occasionally? Are you a warden or what?

I'm a warden here, yes. And at home I'm a police constable.

I'm very sorry that you feel that way. Is there any particular reason why you do?

Because you're a cop? That means you're the type of person who likes to keep other people down.

I like to think I, and other police officers, are the sorts of people who like to help others.

Cops only help people with money and connections.

What's the difference between the old and the new?

The force was corrupt, as you say. But they were all sacked in 1859. Things are quite different now in 1898.

Wait, what? Are you sure those are the right dates?

They are for me.

I'm way up in the 2000s. So those dates are a bit surprising.
