[George is seated at his tea table, which is serving as a writing desk at the moment. A copy of the book Carmilla is in front of him.]

Um. I'd like to know who here is, or has ever been a vampire, or has had intim-...particular experi-...contact wi-...knows a lot about vampires. I'd like to speak to all of you, if possible. There are a few things I'd like to ask about.

[George notices the book in front of him, and tries to move it discreetly off screen, so no one is distracted by it~~'s sexiness~~.]

[By way of response he flips in the video. His eyes are back to their normal color. He looks normal.]

It's been a long time since I've been a Detective kid. [Hoffman might sound slightly resigned] What do you want to know?

How long? If you don't mind my asking.

And if you're quite comfortable discussing it, I was wondering, in your experience:
Do vampires have saliva?
Do vampires feel any sort of specific regard for the neck?
Does this continue once the person to whom the neck belongs is no longer alive?
Can vampires fly?
Can vampires float?
Does a vampire's hair grow?

[He's being metaphorical George. He was still a cop, still collecting a paycheck, but he wasn't doing good-from where he's sitting.]

[His interest might be slightly peaked however] ...Is this about my warden's case?

Somewhat. I'm also curious. Did you have a reflection?

[His eyes narrow] My sister was murdered. I fell in with a serial killer. Take your pick about any of those events.

I didn't think to look. So you do think a vampire did it.

I see.

No, in fact. I think one didn't.

...I was thinking about other things.

[He considers the situation for a moment] You're not considering anything based on his enemies or anything like that? What kind of evidence...

[He sighs] never mind.

We haven't found any evidence that he has any enemies.

But we haven't got to talk about it if you don't want to.

But none of the vampires or other creatures on the barge would have acted without provocation. Unless it was me and it's been established that
I didn't do it.

[He frowns. shit.]

You're just going based on evidence?

How can you be sure of that, though?

Mr. Nygma spoke with him as well.

[All of his cop skills are going to rust. He looks a little distracted and then a little sad.]

[..Ow. Hoffman looks physically struck for a moment-but it's the truth. He nods.]

[Aw, George didn't mean it like that. He thought you didn't want him to call you Detective. You need to be more specific with your angst.]

And we will catch this culprit, sir.

[Oh George. It's all good. Hoffman needed that.]

Oh I'd believe it. Who's working on the case?

Mr. Nygma, Mr. Grayson, and myself.

..Grayson.

[pause]

...I have...faith in what you gentlemen can do.

We won't let you down.
