Case # 18: Voice

[Breathless! Distraught! Accent!]

This is Constable George Crabtree: I need...oh, please say that there's an appropriately aged doctor about still?

Only I tried to check in on Mr. Spinola, in case he had become elderly, but I couldn't get a response from him by communications device, and he wasn't answering his door so I'm afraid I had no recourse but to break it down, and now there's no rousing him!

[George sounds like he's speaking while driving over railroad tracks. This is because he's shaking Eddie as hard as he can.]

...also I think my shoulder may bruise slightly...

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! And now the English teenager + cat is back!

It's Will. And yes, I am. [More or less, anyway. He wasn't exactly formally trained, but the left overs from working with the knife meant he was a decent first responder, and he'd been studying more involved first aid since he'd arrived.

He stood up, turning to face the other two and pointed at the stretcher, which was still floating innocently out of the way.] It'll support his weight.

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! I'm waiting for the cat to weigh in.

It's floating.

[George isn't sure he believes that bit, even though he can see it.]

Re: Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! it will have profound input.

It... does appear to be floating.

[Caesares, a little skeptical, and trying to keep up with the three-thousand-developments-a-second his first day was going with, presses his foot down on the edge of the stretcher, expecting it to move. It takes his weight and he stands back.]

You do appear to be right. Very well.

[On a scale of one to very, very weird, this was now at five, then the cat and then the coma situation. He moved back, preparing to move Eddie,] Let's get on with it, then.
becauseheswill: (That's something else.)

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! She would, she just hasn't talked to anyone on the Barge yet :P

It's been enchanted by one of the other wardens. [He shifted his position.] Someone take his legs. George, do you want to help or are you alright with me doing it?

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! Speak up cat!

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I believe I could handle his legs.

Re: Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! tell us all your seeeekrits!

Be careful with that shoulder. I'll get him from this side.

[One way or another, they ended up with Eddie on a stretcher. Caesares merely added 'enchanted by another warden' to his list of pending questions.]

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! nevarrrr

[personal profile] becauseheswill 2011-08-14 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright. I can take him up to the infirmary, but I'm guessing at least you want to come along as well? [Addressing George, but Caesares was welcome to come too if he really wanted to.]

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! Curse you cat!

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-08-14 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I wouldn't feel right leaving him.
