Case # 12: Video

[George is in his room. He looks slightly dazed and has a damp washcloth pressed against his head. There is a bruise blooming underneath it.]

I'm afraid I was...indisposed.

[George shuffles his feet and there is the sound of broken glass crunching.]

But I've managed to find my trousers now. Has something happened?

[And this is the only part of the story George questions:]

A vampire rescued you?

[The smile that settles over her features then is a private one, more memory than anything else]

More than once, actually. More than one vampire even. Spike did too. He's actually here.

[Something refocuses]

So you see, there's isn't anyone that needs arresting...

((OOC:Just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed their interactions so far!))

Oh yes, I've spoken to him. And his mother. He does seem like he would rescue someone rather than eat them.

[George gingerly touches his bruise.]

Are all of my cognitives in the right place?

His...Spike's mom?

[She's trying to pull all the pictures together for a minute, but the question brings Fred back]

You're doing very well. Just a few more things.

Can you tell me your name?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, a lovely woman.

[George cocks his head to the side.]

George. George Crabtree.

[He's not sure if this is part of the test still.]

[She just nods, no longer distracted by the idea of Spike's family. Though she'll ask him about it later]

And can you tell me where we are?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
In my rooms, on the Barge.

[George can't really pronounce the word "barge" (it comes out more like "buuurjsh") but that's normal for George and George's accent.]

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2011-07-16 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
[That's a bit concerning, but her gaze just barely flickers as she holds up four fingers]

Can you tell me how many fingers you see?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
[If you think that's concerning, try asking him to say if he'd eat an apple even if he hated eating apples.]

Four.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2011-07-16 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh my]

Four it is, and we're just about done. Can you follow my finger?

[And four does become just one, her hand slowly drifting across an invisible horizontal line]

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-07-17 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
[He does so, successfully.]

Well?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2011-07-17 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
You passed.

[Fred stands then, a smile flickering]

I think you're going to be just fine, other than a bit of a headache. I would just make sure to check in with someone tomorrow when you wake up.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-07-18 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you very much!

[George stands as well, looking greatly relieved, and offers her a firm handshake.]

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2011-07-18 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
[She meets his handshake easily, then moves towards the door]

Goodnight, George. Keep an eye on that head, alright? No more standing under heavy things.
