[There's a gangly teenage girl in a shabby dress, with a particularly twee bonnet pulled low over her face. Her face is rather too goofy to be pretty, so it's not any great loss. She clears her throat, then nervously squeaks:]

I'd like very much to speak with someone from the vessel known as 'The Slayer', if I may?

Speak about what, exactly? [Angua the Wolf's accent is a little strange, but far more noticeable are the flashes of filed, sharpened teeth when she talks.]

...Really. [Oh, this is cute.] And what are your... qualifications, exactly?

I'm honest, and a hard worker, and I seek to see the world.

Aye, well, those are all very important pirating qualifications. Especially that first one.

What brings you to the Slayer, specifically?

I had heard you were looking for crew. Is that not so?

[scentbombed]

Yes, but so are other ships. Why ours?

[OOC: Let me know if this oversteps, but I think it would take actual prosthetics for someone to not recognise even a small portion of someone who is basically their son. and even then. :V]

[There is another teenager. This one's brawnier and a little more skeptical, eyebrows raised at the manner of dress. He is...95 percent sure you are a man but..]

[George is actually twenty, but he's slender and baby-faced and looks young even when not dressed as a girl. And he's not terribly good at dressing himself as a girl either, but to be fair: it's his first time.]

I want to see the world beyond this place. Why?

...So marry a sailor or a merchant marine and he'll take you off to England.

I don't want to marry anybody. I want adventure.

...You don't haveta marry um'. You could just kill um and then take their stuff.

I don't think that's a very good plan either. At the best, wouldn't I then become a target for murderers and thieves?
