Case # 30: Video

[George is dressed casually for George. No uniform, and no jacket. His shirt-sleeves are rolled up, and his hair is untidy. He has Howie's motorcycle, and several books about motorcycles out on the floor around him, where he is sitting.]

Is it just me, or has everyone been a bit quiet today? Is there something going on that I'm unaware of?

I suspect it must be something very good, as I would have heard of something awful, where as I certainly can't blame people for being distracted away from their devices, if, say, the Admiral has given everyone a puppy.

[George looks pleased. And then very thoughtful.]

...

But then of course, I would wonder: where is my puppy?

...Alright, but what is it?

On that bike of yours. Speeding - you know, going too fast? Who the hell gave you a licence?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It's really just a big room that can be dressed up in different ways.

...a licence for what?

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
And it's big enough to drive a bike in?

To drive the bike, of course. You can't just get one and jump on it.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. It's big enough to have rivers sometimes.

I had no idea.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
How can somewhere have rivers sometimes?

So... how did you not know that, mate? I can't seriously believe you...

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not entirely sure.

We haven't really got motorbikes where I come from. Well. We have two, I think.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
...And folks are letting you drive this thing?

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
At least tell me you know not to drink, yeah?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I do enjoy a drink now and again...

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
...But not before you drive. C'mon?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Not that I can recall.

You do look so familiar...

use the right icons, kim. :/

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
... I can't figure out why.

Met you before, maybe? I don't remember you, though.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps you simply have one of those faces.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe I do.

Who are you, anyway?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm sorry! Constable George Crabtree. It's a pleasure.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
You don't sound British or anythin'.

Officer Edward Maylis, though.

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Canada. You're an American, I presume?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
Congratulations.

[Americans you are a silly people.]

Have you been a police officer long?

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Since I was 18, yeah. You?

[identity profile] 19centconstable.livejournal.com 2011-11-15 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
Of course. Very much so.
