It wasn't Detective Murdoch's wedding either. It was terrible. Dr. Ogden...she's married someone else. And we all kept waiting for the Detective to show up and object and he didn't, but he had to have wanted to, because R-...Miss Ogden and I found the ring he had meant for Dr. Ogden, and a letter expressing his feelings, which, really, we could have guessed at without reading any sorts of secret letters, which we didn't mean to read, by the way, I just needed a new pen, and then Ruby put the ring down her...well I couldn't go after it.

And someone tried to frame Detective Murdoch for murder, and I may have missed my chance with two different young ladies, and things really haven't been very good at all. Someone took Higgins hostage again.

I did write a book, though.
